ACCELERATOR

Erik DeLuca

Erik DeLuca (born 1985) is an artist-educator whose practice is grounded in sound and extends into radio, public projects, installation, and research. His work listens for where people, land, and technologies meet, and for how power shapes what gets remembered and heard. He brings histories together without smoothing out their differences.

His work has been presented at the Hessel Museum of Art, Kling & Bang, Fieldwork: Marfa, and the U.S. National Park Service; performed at Danspace Project, the Hammer Museum, and Harpa for Dark Music Days; and featured by The Wire. He was a participant at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture in 2017. He works with the Kaiserslautern Stolpersteine Initiative and 7ajr School of Creative Research/Resistance in Ramallah. He is Associate Professor at MassArt and holds a PhD in music from the University of Virginia.
