Jane D. Marsching
Interdisciplinary artist, Jane D. Marsching (1968) makes opportunities to imagine a more just and healthy future, to commune with the beings that we live with, and to catalyze an urgent response to the ecological story of our time through collaborative research-based practices. Exhibitions include: Fruitlands Museum, Harvard, MA; Kilroy Metal Ceiling, Brooklyn; Galerie Lucy Mackintosh, Lausanne, Switzerland; Tierra des Explorades, Buenos Aires; and MassMoCA. She has received grants from Creative Capital and Artadia, among others. She has participated in and founded various collectives that engage creative practices at the intersection of social issues, ecology, and activism: including Platform2: Art and Activism (2009-2012), an experimental forum about creative practices at the intersection of social issues and Plotform (2013-2020 with Andi Sutton), which activated engagement in our local communities around climate activism, citizen science, and water ecologies.
