Public Art Accelerator Intern
Time Status & Schedule: Part-Time, 10 hours per week
Work Location: Hybrid, with in-person work on Wednesdays and remote option for the remaining hours
Compensation: 10 hours per week at $20/hour. Sick time accrues from your date of hire per Massachusetts law.
Job Overview
The Public Art Accelerator Intern is a key support role that enables the efficient facilitation of the Public Art Accelerator program and supports the curatorial process for other annual programs and Triennial 2028 through routine operational and arts administrative tasks, as well as light curatorial research. The Intern is a part-time, 10-hour-per-week position for a 6-month term (mid-August—mid-February), which may be extended. They must be available on Wednesday afternoons during this term to support the facilitation of workshops, which typically run from 2-5 pm. The Public Art Accelerator Intern reports to the Assistant Curator and works with the Office & Experience Coordinator and Events & Volunteer Associate to help ensure the Triennial's vision of an open public art city.
Job Mission
Provide critical organizational and administrative support in the implementation and facilitation of the Triennial's public art programs, primarily the Public Art Accelerator.

Primary Responsibilities
Public Art Accelerator:
Coordinate Wednesday meetings, including but not limited to managing refreshments, AV/Tech, and guest speaker needs
Support the Assistant Curator in communicating and coordinating with Accelerator Cohort artists
Implement evaluation surveys (welcoming and graduating)
Review and update the Accelerator digital resource library
Attend workshops and meetings as needed
Support the planning of site visits and travel as needed
Curatorial Administration:
Assist in researching public art projects, artists, locations, and partners for Accelerator artists, 2027 new commissions, and Triennial 2028 needs
Routine filing and email correspondence
Experience and Qualifications
1 year background in art history, arts administration, or an office environment required
Demonstrated knowledge and interest in contemporary art and public art
General interest in creative justice, community-based public programming, curating, and art education
Proven interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively
Must be comfortable with G-Suite
